Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Provides oversight and coordination of staff and equipment resources to meet the needs of the daily schedule. Works collaboratively with Sterile Processing and other ancillary departments regarding product evaluation and vendors.
Anticipates the needs of the block schedule and works collaboratively with the physician, physician’s office and the OR Clinical Coordinator to provide uninterrupted service. Evaluates room turnover, identifies trends and works collaboratively to resolve issues impacting the efficiency of the schedule.
Develops and/or approves clinical resource materials to be shared with staff members who may be expected to provide care in lieu of the specialty team members. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of preference cards for the designated specialty.
Systematically and continually collects data regarding the health status of the client. The data is recorded, accessible and communicated to appropriate members of the Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team utilizing system policies, and procedures.
Coordinates a comprehensive individualized plan of care for the client, significant other and healthcare provider to obtain expected outcomes partnering with the patient and family to identify and prioritize needs and care.
Implements the plan of care in accordance with established policies, and procedures in a safe and appropriate manner.
Determines both the client’s progress towards the attainment of expected outcomes and the effectiveness of nursing care.
Demonstrates knowledge and fundamental skills necessary to organize, prioritize, and deliver age specific care in a safe and appropriate environment.
Demonstrates ability in planning, delegation, and coordination of work group activities essential for the provision of quality nursing care.
Seeks and supports opportunities for professional growth and development of self and specialty-team members in order to maintain competency and respond to departmental demands (taken from BW).
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Meets licensing requirements to practice registered nursing in the State of Maryland. Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local professional requirements. Bachelor’s preferred. CNOR eligible (preferred, when eligible). Minimum of 1 year experience in specialty preferred. Proficiently scrubs and circulates in designated specialty.

Pay Range: $45-$61.49
