Tech Engineering Manager | W2

Overview:

We are looking for a Tech Engineering Manager with strong hands-on Python development expertise, cloud-native architecture experience (AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps), and a background in leading high-performing engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have exposure to data platforms and a keen interest in building scalable systems within the Financial Services domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Own the technical delivery of projects involving Python, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data, and infrastructure.
• Drive DevOps best practices across CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.
• Provide technical mentorship, performance feedback, and career development support to team members.
• Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and sprint planning.
• Manage engineering timelines, technical risks, and delivery expectations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and microservices.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with data platforms and data-driven applications.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

• Prior experience in Risk Tech, Equities, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, or Regulatory systems.
• Ability to quickly pick up domain knowledge with support and training.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
