Urgent Care - Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner (NP)

We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team as a Lead Provider, responsible for providing exceptional care and making a real impact on the lives of our patients within our urgent care clinic. Lead Providers act as clinical leaders for all clinical staff, mentoring and supporting new-grad providers as well as allied healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include providing patient-centered care through health assessments, physical exams, and reviewing medical histories; assessing patient health; determining abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting results; performing therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound management; educating and counseling patients on health and wellness; preparing accurate medical records using EMR; maintaining a safe and clean working environment; adhering to infection-control policies; complying with legal and professional requirements; collaborating with other providers and healthcare practitioners; acting as a clinic leader and mentor; maintaining professional knowledge through education and participation in professional societies; and acting as a preceptor to new provider staff. Requirements include a Master's degree and certification by a Nurse Practitioner certifying body, a DEA license with no restrictions, BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care preferred, strong leadership and communication skills, compassion, proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical management systems, and knowledge of customer service principles, relevant laws and regulations, drugs and chemical processes, non-pharmaceutical patient care aids, and medical evaluation and treatment procedures.
