- [Church] Hi, I'm Church Maestri. Did you know that Maya has a hidden IK solver that can be really valuable in certain situations? So today we're going to take a look at how to use Maya's ikSpringSolver. Now, you might not be familiar with it, but let me show you how this works. So I've got a couple of IK chains here, and typically, let's say we wanted to use these for something, like maybe blinds, or a folding door, or something like that. And so normally you'd want to just add an IK handle so you can move the joint chain. So we'll go over to our rigging shelf here, and maybe Create IK Handle. And I'm going to click on this side, and then this side, and I get my IK handle. Now, if I move that IK handle, look what happens. We get this kind of effect where these lift off, and the reason for that is it's basically doing kind of an equal angle sort of thing. So when you stretch this way, it's fine. But as soon as…
