- [Instructor] 3D scanning can also be used for more organic shapes. This is an adorable plush bunny that I'm holding in this image here. I 3D scanned the bunny. I actually 3D printed a small little stand for the arm because I wanted to get all the way around the chest like this, and you can see it's not the best scan in the world, but for organic shapes like this, you don't really need to get the best scan in order to accomplish your goals. We can also look like this. I got this in several different scans and then imported this in to Fusion 360 to create an adorable little set of wings or a couple little jet packs there with a band to go around it. This modeling is absolutely true to life. If I were to 3D print this, this is the size it would be on this bunny to send the bunny up on space adventures, and so 3D scanning can be used as a template, not necessarily used for reverse engineering purposes.
