Editing a trajectory with Motion Path
- [Instructor] The trajectory, or path of an object moving through space, can be animated in multiple ways. We've done it here already just by setting keyframes and editing them in the Curve Editor. We could also attach an object onto a path constraint. We would send it along a spline at a certain speed. That's a little bit more than we would need to do in a case like this, because this is a pretty simple animation. This one might be a good candidate for a third method called a motion path, and I can show you how that works. All we need to do is select the animated object. Go to the Motion panel, and choose the sub-panel Motion Paths. And if the object has position keys, you will see the trajectory of the object moving through space. Motion paths assume that you have keyframes on all axes, x, y, and z, and if you don't, then you won't have full control over the motion path. And in this case, I actually deleted some of those keys earlier in the course, so I don't actually have any z…
