First-person camera navigation
- [Instructor] In the previous movie, we saw how to manipulate a camera and change our point of view by positioning the camera and/or its target in a sort of third person mode. If I choose the move tool and select the camera or its target in one of my orthographic or perspective views, I can manipulate that camera position. It's also changing the camera rotation because it's always going to be pointed at this target. I can move the target around and change the camera rotation, so that's a third person method of framing a shot. We can also frame a shot directly in the camera viewport in a sort of first person modality. I'll go ahead and switch back to my select object tool. We see that the viewport navigation icons are going to change depending upon the type of viewport that's currently active. So currently I've got my top view active, and if I switch over to a perspective view, I get a slightly different set of icons. Now instead of a zoom tool, I have a field of view tool. If I click…
