Orbit and viewport undo
- [Instructor] In the last movie, we saw how to change our position in 3D space to view the scene from a different location. Now let's talk about rotation. If we want to view the scene from a different angle, there are some tools for that. The main one is called Orbit, and it's down here on our viewport controls and it looks like a little planet Saturn. And if we click on that and activate that tool, then we can click in the center of this yellow circle. And that allows us to orbit our point of view around the center of the screen. If we click on one of these little boxes here, we can orbit in just one dimension. If we click on the outside of that yellow circle, then we will get what's known in filmmaking as a canted angle or a Dutch tilt. And that's really only appropriate for a horror movie. This is not a desirable situation for us. And it also brings up a problem, which is if we try to use the undo command, that will not take us back to the previous view. So the undo commands up…
