This project is designed for beginners and cybersecurity learners to introduce you to practical URL analysis techniques and demonstrate how to implement them using Python and basic Linux tools.
In this project, you'll build a lightweight phishing detection tool using Python that analyzes URLs to identify common indicators of phishing. You will explore phishing techniques such as using IP addresses in URLs, @ symbols, suspicious domain structures, missing HTTPS, and newly registered domains. The project is designed to be completed in approximately 4-6 hours.
