- All right, now let's look at just some common disabilities and design strategies that we can take as e-learning designers to make our e-learning more accessible for everyone. So first, visual impairments, right? This can mean a lot of different things. Maybe someone has low vision or colorblind or maybe even totally blind. And for folks with visual impairments, tools like screen readers or screen magnifiers or specific color contrasts used generally in extensions, browser extensions, to create those color contrasts are essential for interpreting the content. Plus, visual challenges don't always last forever. I mean, it could be something temporary, like a glare on your screen or even cataracts, which can be fixed. So what do we need to do as course designers to make our course designs work for them? Well, first off, screen reader compatibility. This is huge.
