Why Adobe XD?
- [Instructor] So you might be wondering as a designer, why should I learn this new app? Right, I know Photoshop. I know Illustrator, right. What does it add? Lots of things. I can name two things off the top of my head, speed and efficiency. Right. So if you could imagine, just like having a PSD with over 30 art boards on it, or even opening up 30 PSDs, we could do that equivalent in XD, which is what I'm doing right now. Here's like 32 screens. And again, right in here, the speed at which it opens, the speed at which I can kind of jump to this and zoom in on it and check out this content and change it, right. The flexibility we have with this. This happens to just be a repeat grid, right. We can toggle that down. We can jump in. We can start to change this content. And it's just so flexible. These components that you have as well. So I can just take this and I can edit this component, right. Any one of these. So once I edit it, I can change it for everywhere it's being used. And how efficient is that to just change that content? Guess what? You want a prototype? Yeah, we can link all these screens together. Uh huh. That's one thing I didn't talk about, selecting everything. Everything is linked together, and then we can turn around and share it, okay. Now for you Photoshop users, I do want you to know that you can actually open up APSD in XD. So really there's no reason to not get started in XD, knowing that you can use your current skills, but trust me, you'll enjoy its speed, its efficiency, its flexibility with prototyping and sharing as well and commenting. You're going to have a blast. I'm sure you'll love it.
