- [Instructor] With multiple retargeting options, it can be hard to prioritize the right opportunities. The first thing you want to do is map out your marketing funnel or your purchase funnel. The reason it makes a funnel shape is that, at each stage, people drop off. So going from website visitors, only some of those people reach the product pages. Some of those people will go to add to cart. And then only some of the people who add to cart will actually purchase. The next important thing to do is to segment out different stages of the funnel. So for example, some of the people who go to the website, go to the homepage, lots of people go to the blog. It's important to separate out these segments because they'll have very different behavior. You can also segment out your purchases.
