- [Instructor] You've probably already tracked your main conversion event, but there are benefits to tracking more. Let's look at a website and brainstorm some ways that we can benefit from tracking indicator metrics or metrics that are not the main conversion event but indicate that the user wants to convert at some point. So this is a webpage for growth engineers. It's a community that I run, and it's on my website, and it's pretty simple as a landing page. It just explains what the group does. And then there's a form at the bottom to convert, and this is the conversion event that I track. "Apply to Join," and that's the one that I care about. However, only 3% of people who land on this page actually sign up. So it's important to be able to track intent to sign up so that I know that I'm driving the right quality traffic.
