Consider Microsoft Pluton for hardware-based security
- [Instructor] Microsoft Pluton is security hardware that's only available on the newest computer systems. At the time this video was created, Microsoft Pluton required a compatible AMD Ryzen or Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Windows 11, version 22H2 or later. There are other requirements, so if you find out here Pluton isn't available to you, that's probably why. To see if your computer has a Microsoft Pluton processor, open Settings and click Systems and look under About. You can see here I have a Snapdragon Processor. If you'd like the specifics, your processor must be an AMD Ryzen 6,000, 7,000 or 8,000, or Ryzen AI, or a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3, or X Series. If it does, it likely includes Microsoft Pluton. I'll assume anything that exceeds these numbers in the future would be compatible as well. To enable Pluton features or to double check that it's available, you'll have to do a few things.
