- [Instructor] In this After Effects tape, I'll show you how to apply effects to part of the image with the help of the compositing options command. This will help us to create this surreal animation that transform a waterfall to a silky smooth texture over time, almost like a long exposure effect, as well as add some mystical rays from above. Alright, so I'll pause the playback and then switch to this composition where we have the same clip without any treatment. Now if I'm going to select this clip, you'll see that I already created few masks here, and I've set all of them to the None mode. So we have our first mask, mask number one, and all it's doing is animating from the beginning until three seconds. So, basically just expanding over time.
