Include agile work in the hybrid project
In a hybrid project, it's helpful to put all the project pieces together so you can add milestones and dependencies between the pieces. That way, you can track overall project status and make adjustments if the traditional and agile parts don't go according to plan. And a Gantt Chart is just the tool for doing this. Here's the Gantt Chart view showing the traditional waterfall schedule with our placeholder for the agile work. The first step is to insert the agile project as a sub-project into the overall framework. Select the placeholder task that we've added for the dashboard or the agile project. Then go to the Project tab and over on the left side, click Sub-Project. Select the file for the dashboard project, its 0503_dashboard, and then click Insert. We want that to be at the same level as the summary tasks for the traditional work. So go back to the Task tab and then click the Outdent button. We don't need the placeholder anymore.
