- At this point, you're either really excited to start working with AI coding agents or really scared about what is possible and where we're headed next. So let me be a human for a moment and say, whatever you are feeling right now is the same thing that I'm feeling, and everyone else is feeling, because this is all brand new and we can see how this will evolve very rapidly. And change is uncomfortable, and exciting, and scary at the same time. So let me leave you with this: Software development has always been a raging river of change. The only thing that's new here is instead of the change being at the software level, where we changed the way we do things, the change is now in how we do those things, and because a lot of the expertise that we've been holding has been at that software level with how to write the code the right way to get things to work, a machine that can do similar things can easily feel like a threat.
