Asking data questions inside Google Analytics
- [Instructor] Understanding your data in Google Analytics doesn't have to be complex. With the power of AI, you can simply ask direct questions about your data right within Google Analytics. This makes it so much easier to get the insights you need without having to figure out which reports to go into. Let me show you how it works. I'm here on the homepage of a Google Analytics account, and I'll simply go to the search bar at the top of the screen, and we can type in a question. What page is the most visited? You'll see as I begin to type, Google's going to provide some suggestions. I'll select what is the most visited page, and I'm going to see the first result, which has the insights icon to the left, is an answer. So here, I can see Top Page title by Page views. I'll click that, and over on the right hand side, I can immediately see the answer to my question. Now, I could keep coming up with questions, or at the bottom of this card, I see Suggested Questions, and if I select that, I can now click into various areas, say Demographics, and I can see some common questions that I should be asking. What are top cities by users? Select that, and I'll get my answer. Now, I can only imagine that this is going to get more and more powerful as AI gets further and further baked into Google Analytics, so I recommend giving it a shot and continuing to use it to see how this resource evolves over time. You might find key insights that are really effective at guiding your strategy. Try it out.
