Using spatial video, immersive video, and panoramic photos
- The term spatial video is used by Apple to describe what is more popularly known as 3D video. In the past, you may have watched 3D movies at the movie theater where you're provided with special glasses that allow you to see the 3D effects of the movie, where some characters or objects look closer to you while others look further away. Generally, the idea of 3D video is that there appears to be depth to the image, and that's what you can capture and view with the Vision Pro. Using the Vision Pro's multiple external cameras, you can capture 3D or spatial photos and videos that when viewed with the Vision Pro, contain that look of depth and realism. If you have an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max running the most recent version of iOS, you can also shoot spatial video on your phone. It uses the two side-by-side cameras to achieve this effect. When viewed on the iPhone, the videos look like normal video. But when you view them on the Vision Pro, the 3D spatial effects will be apparent. Now, to…
