- [Instructor] We earlier looked at applications of gen AI for resume summary creation. We can also use gen AI to score candidates for specific skills by analyzing the resume. What does resume skill analysis mean? Hiring managers are typically looking for specific skills and skill levels for a given job opening. They usually review the resume to grade a candidate for these skills. For example, they want to look for specific skills in Java, Python, and C, and score them on a scale of one to 10. They need to do this for all the applicants and then filter the applicants with the best scores. Doing a review of each resume manually and then coming up with a score is a time-consuming process when having a few hundred resumes. Gen AI can help summarize the skills by analyzing the resume of the candidate and coming up with the scores.
