Using the exercise files
- [Instructor] When using the exercise files for this particular course, all exercise files are stored in the LinkedIn Learning library. You can download them as a zip file and unzip them into a known location. I'll let you know what you need for each chapter and the videos in the chapter, I'll explain which file you should be using and perhaps which folder you should be using as well, especially in this particular course. Any drawings will be in the AutoCAD DWG file format and all files are saved back in the AutoCAD 2013 DWG file format. Well, that means is, you can be using older versions of the AutoCAD software to open up the DWG files in the exercise files. Also, be aware in this particular course, each chapter uses its own AutoCAD Electrical project folder. So when you do download the exercise files, you'll notice that there's a folder with a specific name for that particular chapter and that is your AutoCAD Electrical project folder. You want to make sure that the folder with the drawings is stored in a known location, because there are other file types that you use to open your AutoCAD Electrical projects. Ideally, download the exercise files before starting the course, store them in a known location and have that particular exercise file open before you start watching the video. As I said, I'll let you know what you need for each chapter and for each video, but it's always good to have that file open and you're ready to go to hit the ground running when the video starts.
