Using cable markers
- As usual, we're in DEMO11.dwg in our WDDEMO project. Now we're staying zoomed in to our little motor arrangement that we've got going on here with some three-phase wiring. Now, if you're using three-phase wiring, you might want to make sure, in the physical world, that the cables and the wires have different colors or different tags or what is commonly known as cable markers. So what I can do is I can actually tell somebody in the real world who's wiring this up in a real location with a real motor which wire is going where because of the colors of the cables with these cable markers. And they're really useful, because it allows me to obviously markup my AutoCAD electrical drawing with those cable markers and specify which colors they actually are.
