- [Instructor] There may be occasions when you need to bring in a regular AutoCAD drawing into AutoCAD Mechanical and convert the layers and the object properties to AutoCAD Mechanical layers and object properties. We've got a regular AutoCAD drawing here for you, it's called Conveyor_acad.dwg and as usual, you know the drill by now, download it from the library to follow along with the video. One you've got it loaded up we're going to zoom in on the top left area here, on the end of this conveyor here like so, now all of this is regular AutoCAD information, so if I select this line here, you can see it's on the Hidden layer here in the Layer Panel, in the Home tab on the ribbon. Now I'm just going to hit escape there to deselect that. I'm now going to go into the Layers Panel and click here, on the Mechanical Layer Manager.
