- Civil 3D provides some specific tools in the ribbon for editing pipe networks. Let's take a look at how they work. To get started, I'll click one of the pipes in our Storm network. And then up on the ribbon, I'll click Edit Pipe Network. That's going to launch the Network Layout Tools toolbar, the same one that we used to create the pipe network in the first place. Let's set up our default structure and pipe. We're going to set our default structure to Cylindrical Junction Structure, Storm Manhole. And for our default pipe, we're going to use a concrete pipe, 24 inch. Over here, for this button, we're going to click the dropdown and pick Structures Only. What we'd like to do is add a manhole at about the midpoint of this pipe, and then drag it over to the center of the circle. So as you can see, this storm pipe cuts across a couple of lots here, and we really don't want a pipe located maybe under a home in this area.…
