- [Instructor] As the design model and construction documents come together, I need to start creating a cost estimate for the project. And that starts with doing quantity Takeoffs. Since I have a good clean set of construction drawings on the project called Net Zero Residential Test Facility, let's open that project in the ACC application called Takeoff and see what we can do with that tool. We'll change this to Takeoff and open the project there in Autodesk Takeoffs. It says we need to prepare our project for Takeoff by following these key steps. We need to define a measurement system and a system of classifications. So we'll click on that box. I'm here in the US, so we're going to use the imperial measurement system. You can also select metric if you are elsewhere in the world. For a classification system, I'm going to just leave these blank and currency, I'm going to select US dollars.
