- There are a number of different ways that a public cloud provider, like AWS, can be used to enhance the security of an AI workload. And we're going to start with the shared responsibility model. And this is a set of principles that help to determine where the responsibility lies with different layers of an application workload, all the way down to the hardware in the data centers. And so we'll start with AWS services that would qualify as infrastructure as a service. And you can see AWS is responsible for a number of really important things here. The actual hardware, global infrastructure, compute, storage, database, network, service API endpoints, all of those are AWS responsibility. The customer, however, still has quite a lot that they are going to have ownership of, all the way from guest operating systems on virtual machines all the way up through the data.
