- [Instructor] In this Hands-On lab, we'll discover the different components and features that you can use in the Amazon VPC console. The AWS account that I'm using here is brand new, so all of the things you're seeing here are set to their default setting. We'll take a look at the subnets, route tables, security groups, network access control lists, DHCP option sets, elastic IPs, managed prefix lists, endpoints, and different types of gateways that you can use in Amazon VPC. We will also see the default VPC, default subnets, default route tables, and other resources that are already existing when you first launch your brand new AWS account. For the sake of clarity in our succeeding Hands-On labs, we will rename these default resources so we can easily identify the default ones from the custom resources that we have created.
