- [Instructor] Earlier in the course, we talked about infrastructure as a service, platform as a service, and again, those different resources that can fall or bridge into one of those types of infrastructure cloud solution. One of those that is clearly infrastructure as a service is the ability to create these virtual machines in the cloud. Virtual machines or virtualization solutions have been used on-prem by network administrators for quite some time. VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V are examples of virtualization hosts that allow you to use virtual machines. And then these virtual machines can host specific services or workloads, and then be managed as these separate virtual entities. Now we can create virtual machines in the cloud.
