Installing prerequisites for Veeam
- [Instructor] There are several prerequisites prior to installing our Veeam backup and replication software. To start with, we can install Veeam on virtual machines on premises, and that would include VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Red Hat VMs. All of these different types of virtual machines, we can install Veeam onto those. Now, you can also do the same thing with cloud virtual machines using those same operating systems, and you can do this at Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure, and even the Google Cloud as well. When it comes to NAS storage, where you can do a NAS share, then you can use Microsoft Windows, Linux managed servers, enterprise NAS systems such as NetApp, Lenovo ThinkSystem DM Series, Dell NFS file shares, and SMB file shares.
