Creating companywide borders
- [Instructor] Before we start this video, I'm going to guess that the chances of you having an existing AutoCAD border around is pretty high, so high that this video will have us importing an AutoCAD border and exploding it, then using that border to create our other border, then using that border to create our Revit border. So the first thing I'd like to do is actually jump into AutoCAD. If you don't have AutoCAD, that's fine, you can just follow along 'cause we're not going to do a lot. So, in AutoCAD, I'm going to go, "Open." Browse to where I'm keeping your exercise files, and you'll find that I've provided an "ANSI D 22x34" drawing for you. You can also browse to whatever drawing file you may have. Open it up. Okay. Now the most important thing that I want to look at are our layers. Right, so if we select an element, I want to know what layer that's on. So, if I click something, go to your "Home" tab, notice that your "Layer Properties" are in the middle, "zero." As a matter of…
