Folder structure
- [Instructor] Rather you are using the Autodesk Construction Cloud, or you're using your local network for file sharing, you still need a good folder structure and good file naming conventions. Obviously, different companies have different needs. However, the same trades are generally involved in every project. The objective of this video is to create a folder structure for your company and add different trade models. To get started, jump into Revit. Under Models, go Open, Browse to where you're keeping your Exercise Files. I'm going to grab my 123456789_ARCHITECTURAL model. Then click Open. Now I'm going to go into File Explorer and browse to my chapter. I'm going to create a fake project name. Right click, go to New, Folder. We'll call this 123456789_PROJECT, for lack of a better project name. Now, I like to make separate trade models, so I'm going to go into Project. and create a new folder. We can call that ARCHITECTURAL. I'm going to go into that folder. Now in the ARCHITECTURAL…
