- [Instructor] This Week in blender, I'm going to show you how to create a gobo. A go what? A gobo. A gobo is something that you place in front of the light to create a pattern, texture shadow, something cool like that. We use it often in filmmaking. And in blender, you can do all sorts of cool stuff with it. Let me show you. First let's go ahead and delete this cube and add a plane. That way we have something flat to project onto. Gobos work really well with spotlights, so let's go ahead and delete this point light and hit shift A and add ourselves the spotlight and move it up. And unfortunately, they only work in cycles. So go ahead and turn on cycles and GPU if you can. Now come over to this light. And let's come to this bottom left and drag this up. And switch this to shader editor and hit enter to get some more real estate. I'm going to zoom out and hit render and put my light somewhere in the middle here…
