- Why do people fail? This sounds like a simple question, but it's actually quite hard to answer because there are so many takes on this from different disciplines like psychology, sociology, and behavioral economics. But one way to look at it is that people fail because they have three problems: the knowledge problem, the time problem, and the motivation problem. Let's start with the first one, the knowledge problem. Suppose you have some goal you want to achieve, maybe start a yoga business, launch a YouTube channel, or maybe just get better at time management. One of the biggest obstacles is that people simply don't know how to do it. How does one go about starting a business, or building an audience, or creating systems that actually work? It used to be that you had to get in touch with an expert, or go to the library, or look it up online. If you go to the library, then what? You ask for help from a librarian, then maybe find a book that's somewhat relevant. You spend a few hours reading it and you may or may not have time for that. The internet has made knowledge a lot more accessible, but that also presents a new challenge, information overload. There are thousands of articles, blog posts, YouTube videos, and online courses on any given topic. So which ones are actually useful? Which ones are relevant to your specific needs? It gets really hard. But you're in luck because with AI, the knowledge problem is pretty much a thing of the past. If you want to know something, not only will AI be able to give you the most relevant information, but more importantly, AI will give you that information in a way that is highly relevant to you specifically. Let me show you what I mean. Let's say you want to start a yoga business. Watch how specific we can get with AI. "I'm a 36-year-old IT project manager in Reno. I've been practicing yoga for 5 years and completed my 200-hour teacher training last summer. I want to start teaching yoga while keeping my full-time job. I have a finished basement that's 400 square feet, and I'm available weekday evenings after 6:00 pm and weekday mornings. I have about $5,000 in savings that I could invest in this venture. My target audience would be other professionals in my area who can't make traditional studio hours. What specific steps should I take first? Be very specific about technical, financial, legal, and other aspects I might have overlooked." See how detailed that prompt is? Now, watch the AI's response. And you can drill deeper with follow-up questions. Each question builds on your specific situation, giving you knowledge that's exactly relevant to you. This isn't just about asking AI questions, anyone can do that. This is about systematically eliminating every knowledge-based excuse that's keeping you from taking action. When you give AI specific context about yourself with relevant follow-up questions, you're not just gathering information, you're building a precise, personalized roadmap that makes action inevitable. The gap between, "I want to do this," and, "I know exactly how to do this," can now be closed in minutes, not months. Here's what I want you to do right after this video. Take one goal you've been thinking about and have a conversation with AI about it. Be specific about your circumstances. The more context you provide, the more tailored and useful the response will be. Remember, not knowing how to do something is not an obstacle anymore. It's just a question you have not asked yet.
