- [Instructor] In this video, I will show you how you can quickly and easily let InDesign create an interactive index to help readers easily navigate your document, both on an interactive PDF format and online. To start, head to the page you wish to use for your table of contents, then, head to the top Layout menu and choose Table of Contents. The Table of Content panel will pop up. Creating a well-planned and complete index will help make the information of your branding guideline immediately accessible to your readers. The process for creating a table of content requires three main steps. First, create and apply the paragraph styles you'll use as the basis for the table of content, second, specify which styles are used in a table of content, third, flow the text into the document. The table of content items, including page numbers, are pulled directly from the content in your document and they can be updated at any time.…
