- [Instructor] How do you keep employees alert to the ever-evolving threats that plague organizations like phishing, which is still the number one attack vector? Social engineering simulations. These are a great way to measure your employee's knowledge with real hands-on training. While phishing simulations are important, they are only one small component of your overall security program. To start your social engineering program, you'll need to come up with an idea for the simulation. Ideas can come from a number of areas. Look at real emails your employees are reporting, vishing calls, or even smishing messages they're receiving, or other threats that are currently targeting your company. Next, develop a plan for how you will deploy the simulation. If you can, leverage your budget for third-party resources.
