- [Instructor] Testing your payments is important, but what if they don't work? If during your payment tests you run into issues or error messages, here are some ways to address them. Make sure that you have an SSL certificate installed. If you don't see the lock icon by your domain, check with your host to figure out how they allow you to install one. You can always see your certificate by tapping on that lock icon and following the prompts. Next, make sure that your payment processing plugin is not using test mode. For example, with GiveWP, if test mode is enabled, there is a yellow notification up here at the top. I can disable it and save my changes, and that notification will disappear. Also, make sure your e-commerce plugin is not using the wrong gateway, or else the payment you expect won't work. There's usually a section with active gateways that you can check, to make sure that the one that you intend is selected.…
