- [Instructor] Your organization is probably creating a ton of data, then storing that data in Excel or some sort of database. In this video, I'll explain how your data needs to be structured so that you can successfully analyze it. Simply put, your data needs to be deep rather than wide. I've worked with some extremely wide datasets that have had over 1,000 columns. This was a nightmare to try to make sense of, but on the other end of the spectrum, I've worked with some really shallow datasets. If your data only has eight rows, then you're not able to derive any useful insights from studying that dataset. You just don't have enough data points to conduct a deep analysis.
