- Has anyone ever sent you a live status from their mobile phone with how far they are from you? And you can continuously check your phone and see their progress. You can then know exactly where they're at in a quick visual manner. Portfolio Kanban is similar to this. It's a technique to visually manage multiple initiatives. It visualizes the various initiatives by increasing visibility into the process, decision-making, feedback loops and work in progress. It brings structure to decision-making in the strategy horizon. Chris, our Agile BA, uses Portfolio Kanban to help leaders make decisions by visually showing them and analyzing various initiatives, and by limiting WIP to reduce waste. Making bottlenecks more visible, and it also helps with incorporating feedback loops, collaboration and continuous improvement by visually displaying the flow of work.
