Insert and modify footnotes and endnotes
- [Instructor] You insert a footnote or an endnote in your document when you want to insert a citation or a comment about a particular section in the document. In this video, I'll show you how to insert both and how to modify them for their formatting and also where they will show in your document. Well, let's jump right in and create some footnotes. I'm in the 05_01 Footnotes and Endnotes, and we're looking at the employee manual for the Landon Hotel. Now, there already are some endnotes and footnotes in here, so let's take a look at how we can quickly view each of those. Control-F for find on my keyboard will open my navigate window. I can use the dropdown menu to go to Footnotes and Endnotes. This brings me to my first endnote, which is shown as a superscript one and as I mouse over it, I can see that the endnote is See Section 6.7, Holidays. Now the difference between a footnote and an endnote is this.…
