From the course: Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) Exam Tips

The CCSP exam

- The certified cloud security professional exam is a multiple choice computer based test that you will take in an ISC squared approved testing center. The exam lasts for four hours and it contains 150 multiple choice questions. The questions on the exam cover all six domains of cloud security. These include cloud concepts, architecture and design, cloud data security, cloud platform and infrastructure security, cloud application security, cloud security operations, and legal risk and compliance. Unlike other security certification programs, you won't find any unusual question formats on the CCSP exam. All of the questions are standard multiple choice questions, providing you with a question followed by a series of possible answer choices. ISC squared is famous for asking questions that are intentionally somewhat ambiguous. You'll be presented with questions like this one, asking you to make the difficult decisions that fall into the gray areas of security. You'll find key words like best or least that ask you to choose from among a variety of good options. Security professionals need to make judgment calls and the CCSP exam tests your willingness and ability to do so. For example, on this question, you'll need to decide that although any of these information sources may contain details about a web application attack, the web application firewall is likely to have the best information about the attack. To pass the exam, you'll need to achieve a score of at least 700 out of 1000 possible points. This score doesn't correspond to any specific percentage of correct answers. Instead, it uses a scoring formula based upon the experience of other test takers. You can register for the exam online at the Pearson VUE website. You'll be able to select a testing center in your local area and schedule a convenient time for the exam. You'll need to pay the exam fee when you register for the exam. The fee is currently 599 US dollars in most parts of the world. In Europe, the fee may be paid as either €555 or 479 British pounds. You are allowed to reschedule or cancel your exam as something comes up. If you cancel online within 48 hours of the exam or by phone at least 24 hours before the exam, you'll receive a refund of your exam fee. There is a charge of $50 to reschedule your exam and $100 to cancel your exam within that time window.
