Tailoring technical communication for different stakeholders
- [Instructor] Any good communication has to be empathetic. That means you need to understand your audience to get your point across. Not everyone is working full-time in the cloud project, nor does everyone know either the cloud or the security terminology. This is not the time to show off your skills, or confuse everyone with an alphabet soup of acronyms. You should always use simple language, and explain the difference between the technology limitations and your design choices. Clearly call out when any design decision differs from on-premises or your existing security architecture, and provide proactive commentary on why that is the case. And whenever you write documentation, you should write it in a way that is understandable, not just to yourself and the current team, but also to completely new stakeholders that may join next year.
