- Have you ever seen the movie "Cool Runnings"? It's the incredible story of the Jamaican Bob sledding team. How did four Jamaicans, who never saw snow, let alone ice, go on to compete at the Winter Olympics? For my book "The Success Factor", I had the privilege of interviewing three-time Olympian, Devin Harris, the captain of that legendary bobsledding team. He told me that the first time his team ever saw a bobsled was in September, four months before the Olympic Games. The first time they saw bobsled track? That was right before the Olympics. You see, Devin and his teammates could have read all the bobsledding strategy books and listened to all the lectures, but it was not until they put on their speed suit, got into the bobsled, and went down the track at 80 miles per hour did they truly know how to bobsled.
