If we approach coaching as a passive, just wing it kind of task, we'll fall short when it comes to making a bigger impact as a leader. So let's explore what it means to take action. Essentially, it's about developing and implementing a strategic measurable plan to fuel your growth. Here are five things you can do to make that happen. First, evaluate your current skills and set some goals. Which ones will give you an advantage as you coach your employees? Can you strengthen and emphasize those? On the other side of the coin, what key skills might be missing? How can you work to acquire them? What changes would make the most impact on the people you coach?
