- Grabbing the attention of your prospect is one of the hardest things to do. It's what businesses spend millions of dollars a year trying to achieve through their advertising. If it was easy to grab people's attention, then everyone would be doing it. So stop trying to solve that yourself. You will not have a eureka moment and come up with an ultimate punchline to make every prospect beg you to stay on the phone with them. It just doesn't exist. However, I can tell you one thing that might cheer you up. Business leaders, the C-suite, managing directors, whoever you're cold calling, they generally don't dislike cold calls. I know it's a hard concept to imagine, but bear with me. They don't hate cold calls. They appreciate that they're adding value to them and their business.
