- [Narrator] If there's one thing that's true, it's that the unexpected will occur. Incident Manager is a component of Systems Manager that helps you prepare for that eventuality. An incident is any disruption from standard operations. Incidents can occur as a result of a server crashing, a software issue, a configuration issue, or any other disruption that impacts service quality. When any of these occur, you can use Incident Manager to help get you back on track. While Incident Manager won't necessarily address the root cause, you can use it to outline the steps that will get you back on the road. Metaphorically, Incident Manager won't fix the broken car in this picture. Within Incident Manager, you configure a response plan. A response plan details the steps to take when the unexpected happens.
