- [Rachel] In addition to standard fields, custom fields specific to your organization can also be created by administrators, users, or third party apps. All custom fields contain the following attributes, a unique name per field type, an optional description, a type, like text, number, select list, or checkbox, optional translation features, and an association with screens. Different field types also have different settings, properties, or options. For example, a select list field contains one or more options, a text field can be single or multi-line, and some fields can have default values. To see the custom fields in your application, visit the Custom Fields page in the Issues admin area. How many custom fields do you have? For most of us, the answer is too many. In Cloud, the count is displayed at the top of the page. When a new custom field is warranted, create one by clicking the button on the top right.
