- One challenge most security operations centers face is this idea of providing reliable services and repeatable services. Meaning when you go to the SOC and you're doing an incident response, you're doing a forensic investigation or whatever service from the SOC, that you're going to get the same outcome. Typically, higher maturity models show repeatability with SOC services. But as easy as that sounds, it's actually very hard to do. And the reason why is there's traditionally, first, people themselves do things the way they like to do it. So even though you may have two people in the same role, person A may do things one way and person B does things another way. Therefore, when you ask, I want person A to do something, you're going to expect it that way.
