- [Instructor] You can use the Microsoft Store to install UWP and also desktop apps whenever you need to. As to whether you want your users to be able to do that, that's a different matter. As a desktop support technician, users might be attempting to install apps from the Store, or it might be that your organization prohibits that, but they still need access to a Store app. So in this session, we're going to talk a bit about the Microsoft Store and Universal Windows Platform apps and how we can manage them. First of all, your organization might restrict access to the Microsoft Store to prohibit users from gaining access to the apps that are available there. The reason for that will be that you want to standardize the apps that users can use. The only way to do that is to prevent additional apps from being installed other than those that have been authorized within your organization.
