- Well, it's that time again. Microsoft has released another operating system. This one's called Windows 11 and we're going to take a deeper dive into some of the features and hardware requirements and the compatibility stuff that we need to be concerned with. But there's a couple things that you need to make sure that you have the right hardware compatibility and the requirements met in order to install Windows 11. The first thing you need to know is that Windows 11 requires a UEFI, or unified extensible firmware interface. So if your motherboard does not support that, you will not be able to install Windows 11. Also, you have to have Secure Boot enabled. And another requirement is that the trusted platform module in the 2.0 or higher version needs to be physically installed on the motherboard as well.
