- In this section of the course, we're going to discuss endpoint security controls that we can use to help minimize the vulnerabilities and security risks to our enterprise networks. In this section, we'll be focusing on domain three, security, engineering, and cryptography, specifically, Objective 3.2. Now, Objective 3.2 states that given a scenario, you must configure and implement endpoint security controls. As we start out this section, we're going to cover the concept of device hardening and some of the hardening techniques that you can use to better secure your endpoint devices, such as using best-practice configurations and security configuration guides. Then we'll talk about the patch management and security patching that we use for our endpoint devices. This includes patching of our operating system, applications and the firmware that's used on our systems.
